Photographer, Simone Hebert Allard was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba. She has been exploring the visual arts for several years through the lens of a camera. As the daughter of a cowboy father and an intellectual, dreamer mother, M. Wheeler Pease's love of and pursuit of art received little more than intermittent attention for many years. Her professional art career began following variously awkward and unwelcome occupations as a secretary, bookkeeper and real estate sales agent in Portland, Oregon; San Francisco, California and Atlanta, Georgia. A referral from her sister led to illustrating a series of children's books for a small Canadian publisher, thereby opening her door to the art world. Two years later she returned to oil painting, a lifelong passion. Her art has been placed with private collectors and corporations in Canada and the United States. M.
