M Wheeler is a self taught artist who has been painting since childhood. Her artwork is in private collections in the United States and Canada. A keen observer of nature, weather, and time of day, her landscapes are sweeping but also intimate. She has an uncanny ability to capture a moment and bring it to life to the extent that you can feel the breeze, and catch the scent of the earth. She rarely works from reference photographs, choosing instead to express the whole of the experience both seen and unseen. Although much of her work is representative, there is an abstract element as well. M. is currently working on an exciting new series which will be showcased by our Gallery soon.
